About TEYA

The Tanzania Emerging Youth Awards is a program that has been in operation since 2021, currently managed by the youth-led organization Emerging Generation Initiative in collaboration with the Prime Minister's Office - Labour, Youth, Employment, and Persons with Disability. TEYA aims on raising outstanding youth profiles, building capacity, and highlighting the contribution they make towards developing an innovative, sustainable, and prosperous future for the United Republic of Tanzania. TEYA gives national recognition and support to young emerging women and men aged 15 -35 and youth led entity who have demonstrated the capacity and potential to make positive contributions to their communities whether national, regional or at global level by finding sustainable solutions to most pressing issues and attract job creation.

This initiative support implementation of National Youth Development Policy 2007 RE 2024, Tanzania Vision 2025 and Sustainable Development Goals.

About Emerging Generation Initiative

Is a youth-led organization in Tanzania and registered with the mission is to inspire, educate, and empower the youth of Africa to become agents of change and deliver sustainable and inclusive solutions. The Youth led Organization focusing on providing opportunities for personal growth, skills development, youthled organization capacity strengthening, Empowerment, accountability in enabling young people to unlock their full potential and contribute to the sustainable development in Tanzania. Our thematic areas are on Livelihood, Policy & Governance, WASH, Climate Change, Skills Development, Youthled Organization Capacity Development and Natural Resources.
